my sanrio space

**WARNING**

This is not your usual Sanrio fansite.

Just out of the blue, I created this page (at almost midnight!). Why?

Once upon a time, there was once a little girl who loved Hello Kitty, just like her mommy. She decided that she'd have more HK stuff than her mom. She started from writing materials -- pens, paper, stickers up to her plush dolls, and other cute knick-knacks that could be found anywhere. She didn't ask for expensive, big things though.

Like any other kid, she began to outgrow some of the stuff she used to love, her collection of Sanrio stuff included. She would resort to more "normal", serious-looking objects.

When that little girl grew older enough to earn on her own, she spotted an online marketplace selling a lot of Sanrio stuff she's never seen before. Before knowing what took place, she already made her first online purchases! It's true when they say that "first love never dies".

Okay, I was able to do online shopping for a while after spending a few hundreds on useless "dust collectors", I have managed now to control the urge and think practical.

Hence, the blog!

Anyway, I may not always like to buy things that I don't really need especially I am now married and planning to have kids in my late twenties, but appreciating those Sanrio characters even for free can count sometimes! Haha! Frugal and Kawaii combined.

Since my husband was stationed in Okinawa (as a US Navy Corpsman) in 2009, I paid him a visit to also finally see the place where Hello Kitty is deemed "normal" and considered as a "staple" resident. I was just so happy to have my picture taken beside a life size Hello Kitty in one of the arcades there.

I might dedicate a post about my trip to Okinawa and all my HK misadventures.

Now, why again this blog?

Not only because I simply adore these uber kawaii creatures that conquered every child in us, but this serves as my most sacred, tranquil place to let my guard down and simply show a bit of admiration for HK& Friends!

Take note that this is not another one of those "know-it-all" resource sites. Again, my own, personal space, like a journal or a bucket of my thoughts. This is my chance to get to know a bit of HK&Friends, products included (and boy there are a lot!), and rediscover my liking to these iconic characters.

The site is also not limited to those darned cutesy Sanrio characters. I can also share with you all other things that are pleasantly eye-candy and kawaii (cute)!

Pictures may be coming from other sites, but will be properly acknowledged in my posts. Now, thanks for your time and relax and enjoy the finer (and cutest) things in life!
